ASK THE TEACHER
Norma pregunta (en inglés) - Good afternoon, teacher Janet:
Again with a hassle, I have read in sometimes the next words:
UNHAPPY, UNFORTUNATE, UNLUCKY, UNFURNISHED
How are called this words?
Is there a grammar rule?
There are too many them, really
Excuse me for so many hassles
Janet – No es ninguna molestia. Siempre haces buenas preguntas. “un” es un prefijo. Cuando añades “un” al principio de una palabra, la convierte en su opuesto. Si buscas en un diccionario, vas a ver muchas palabras que empiezan con “un”.
Ejemplo:
Happy (feliz)
Unhappy (infeliz)
